EMERGING YOUNG ARTISTS EXHIBITION - UMass Dartmouth, Jan. 22 - Feb. 10, 2018
The Emerging Young Artists 2018 Juried Exhibition at the UMass Dartmouth Campus Gallery showcases the exceptional merit of high school art students from high school art programs in Massachusetts. The artwork was selected from over 800 submissions throughout the state. A closing ceremony and award presentation will be held at the CVPA on February 10 from 1:00-3:00pm.
ARISIA SCI-FI STUDENT ART CONTEST - Westin Waterfront Hotel, Boston Jan. 12-15, 2018
Arisia is the largest and most diverse volunteer-run science fiction convention in New England. Now in its 29th year, Arisia will be held January 12-15, 2018 in the Westin Waterfront Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts.
The Arisia art show showcases more than 80 of the finest professional and amateur science fiction and fantasy artists and illustrators in New England. Its purpose is to further the enjoyment and appreciation of science fiction and fantasy, and to bring together the fan community.
SCHOLASTIC ART & WRITING AWARDS NOMINEES & AWARDS
The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards recognizes the exceptional artistic and literary talent of our nation’s youth. Through the Awards, students receive opportunities for recognition, exhibition, publication, and scholarships. This year AHS received Silver Keys in painting, photography, and photography portfolio, as well as Honorable Mentions in drawing and digital art.
