What a great year we have had for Scholastic entries and Emerging Young Artists!
Scholastic Art & Writing is a juried exhibition that grades 7-12 can submit individual artworks as well as portfolios for accolades. Last year over 320,000 pieces were submitted for consideration
Congratulations to the following students on their recent Scholastic Art Awards: Christian Berk - Honorable Mention in Photography, Lindsey Collins - Honorable Mention in Digital Art, Julia Do - Silver Key in Painting, and two Honorable Mentions in Digital Art, Abi Edwards - Silver Key in Digital Art, Alicia Hammill - Honorable Mention in Drawing, Bethany Salah - Silver Key in Photography, and Abbey Brown for her Silver Key winning Photography Portfolio as well as an Honorable Mention in Digital Art. Emerging Young Artists is an annual show at UMASS Dartmouth's campus showcasing high school student who are creating exceptional work.
Also, congratulations to the following students for having their artwork showcased at the upcoming Emerging Young Artists Exhibition at UMass Dartmouth: Erick Atanga - Animation, Julia Do - Digital Art, Alicia Hammill - Sculpture, Christina Loring - Sculpture, and Nicole Marella - Painting.
